Event Organizer Agreement

Responsibilities for publishing events, selling tickets, receiving payouts, and serving attendees.

Last updated: October 4, 2026

About this document

This Agreement applies when an organizer, its owner, or authorized staff uses Sellenda organizer tools.

By creating or managing an event, you accept this Agreement together with the Terms of Service, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and transaction terms shown in Sellenda.

Organizer authority and verification

  • You are at least 18 and authorized to act for the organizer.
  • Provide accurate legal, contact, tax, identity, business, and payout information.
  • Complete checks requested by Sellenda or a payment provider. Ticket sales or payouts may remain limited until checks pass.
  • Keep account access secure and control staff permissions. You remain responsible for authorized staff activity.

Event responsibility

You, not Sellenda, organize and supply each event. You are responsible for the venue, performers, suppliers, permits, licences, insurance, security, accessibility, capacity, age rules, health and safety, taxes, attendee support, and lawful delivery.

  • Publish accurate dates, times, locations, prices, capacity, restrictions, accessibility details, and contact information.
  • Do not materially change an event without prompt attendee notice and any refund option required by law or Sellenda policy.
  • Honor valid tickets and operate a reasonable admission process.
  • Do not oversell or create misleading scarcity.

Prohibited events and content

  • No illegal, fraudulent, unsafe, hateful, exploitative, infringing, or deceptively advertised event.
  • No event that lacks required venue or rights-holder authorization.
  • No content that impersonates others, violates privacy, promotes violence, or infringes copyright or trademarks.
  • Sellenda may review, pause, remove, or report a listing where reasonably necessary to protect users or comply with law.

Prices, fees, and taxes

Set accurate ticket prices and currencies. Sellenda fees, payment charges, taxes, and whether a fee is passed to attendees or absorbed by you are shown in pricing, plan, dashboard, or checkout records that apply when a sale occurs. Those transaction records form part of this Agreement.

You are responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and paying organizer taxes, levies, royalties, and licence charges unless Sellenda expressly agrees in writing to handle one.

Settlement and payout

  • Payout timing, method, currency, available balance, and deductions are shown in the organizer dashboard or applicable plan.
  • Sellenda may delay or hold funds for pending settlement, event completion, refunds, chargebacks, fraud review, negative balance, sanctions screening, inaccurate payout details, legal process, or payment-provider requirements.
  • You authorize deduction of Sellenda fees, payment costs, refunds, chargebacks, reversals, taxes Sellenda must collect, and other amounts you owe under this Agreement.
  • Exchange-rate differences and intermediary bank charges may affect international settlement.
  • You must promptly return any mistaken overpayment.

Refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks

Follow the Refund Policy and event terms displayed before purchase. If you cancel, fail to provide, or materially change an event, you must promptly notify attendees and fund required refunds. Sellenda may use held or future funds and may invoice any shortfall.

You are responsible for chargebacks and related costs caused by your event, description, fulfilment, cancellation, or attendee handling. Provide requested evidence promptly. Sellenda controls responses submitted through its payment accounts but does not guarantee an outcome.

Attendee data and communications

  • Use attendee data only for event delivery, necessary service messages, legal duties, or marketing supported by valid consent.
  • Do not sell attendee data or add people to unrelated marketing lists.
  • Protect exports and staff access, delete data when no longer needed, and report suspected breaches to Sellenda without undue delay.
  • Clearly identify the organizer in messages and provide a working unsubscribe control for marketing.

Content licence and promotion

You keep ownership of event content and grant Sellenda a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, format, reproduce, display, distribute, and promote it for operating Sellenda and marketing the event. You confirm you have all necessary rights and releases.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you will protect and reimburse Sellenda and its personnel against third-party claims, refunds, chargebacks, penalties, losses, and reasonable costs caused by your event, content, legal breach, tax duty, attendee-data use, negligence, or breach of this Agreement. This does not apply to loss caused by Sellenda’s own unlawful conduct or negligence.

Suspension, termination, and continuing duties

Sellenda may restrict sales, listings, accounts, or payouts for risk, safety, compliance, debt, or material breach. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an appeal path. Either party may end use of organizer tools, but existing attendee, refund, settlement, tax, privacy, and dispute duties continue.

Priority and governing law

This Agreement supplements the Terms of Service. A signed enterprise agreement prevails where it expressly conflicts. Nigerian law governs, and Nigerian courts have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory rights and agreed dispute procedures.
